At approximately 19:00 AEDT(08:00 UTC) on 22nd November, high traffic to a subset of section.io network instances caused intermittent slow downs for user requests on those instances. This affected a small number of sites in the AU region for 2 hours.
New instances were automatically spun up to cope with the additional node but these instances didn't not spin up in a healthy state, which meant no traffic was distributed to them to spread the load. Replacement instances were then manually started to handle the load after which performance returned to normal.
